Leading a charmed life

Image
I've been reading many blogs lately. When you live fulltime in an RV you are lucky because many people that do this seem to have time to write blogs. Of course that means that there is a lot to read  from folks that have a lot in common with you. Many like to concentrate on how they went for a walk this morning, or their trips to the store. Many write complaining about the other RV people who (they think) spend too much money, or are showing off their fancy RV. Most just write about their day and adventures or misadventures. I don't think that many people would read an blog about someone who lives in a  house or apartment who tells you about things like,  I had to get my water heater fixed today. No one would ever read about your trips to get your prescriptions refilled or Dr appts.  Well, the blogs I read are full of stuff like that. I'm here today to tell you that I lead a charmed life. I've pretty much got anything I ever wanted. I know that I've got more th

Enjoying the simple things.

This morning we went for our walk. Its amazing the variety of RVsthat there are. Aside from all the "Bus" type RVs, we've seen a dozen varieties of the pull behinds. Some beautiful vintage and some quirky teardrop shape cuties. Its easy to forget when we come into a park that most of the people are only here for a day or two, enjoying the outdoors, cooking outside and generally sitting outside most of the time. We or I, always look and one thinking about living in it instead of the adventure of camping. I really don't like to "camp so much any more. I just forget how much fun it can be. We live in ours, and enjoy watching satellite television, reading, and surfing the net. Today we choose to find a Browns backer bar and spend the afternoon watching the game,(go Browns). That was fun and we got to enjoy a beautiful drive there and back. I've got some pics today, of our drive, and if I was thinking about this post today, I would've taken some pics of the

Always looking for better oxygen

Looking for better Oxygen is our excuse to travel.  We live everday much like everone else. The biggest difference is our backyard and views change frequently. 350 square feet of living space allows for a lot more living than you could imagine. Im writing this on a 7" tablet with autofill and auto correct. You ahould see some of the words that this thing comes up with! There are very few blogs written about people traveling with supplemental oxygen. I suppose when many get to that point, they feel very limited. Yesterday we walked in the morning, cleaned a section of the RV, went to Costco, Walmart, a doctors appointment, made 2 meals had our evening cocktail and I almost forgot we also went to our mailbox. We did this all with a portable oxygen concentrator.  The day before we went to the movies to see the FURY. It was well done but not thoroughly enjoyable. I cant say I was entertained.  Today we will try another movie, it's something we like to do. If you are wonderi

Life is always beautiful, even when it's not.

Many people say "someday" but that day never comes. We all think it will, but life usually gets in the way. Wives, children, jobs or lack of one, family in need, health, death.  All these people and events eventually happen to everyone, and you can let these events control your destiny, or you can control your destiny. I should mention, I wouldn't be writing about all this joy if I wasn't lucky enough to know my wife. Debbie, she's the other piece of the 2 piece puzzle that makes this perfect picture. I'll go into that more in the future. September 7, 2013 we started this adventure. We had just sold our home and pretty much everything in it, and moved into our recently remodeled RV. We've traveled about 12,000 miles to date. Everyday is a gift. Besides being an adventuresome soul, I have COPD. I can see the pity in most peoples faces when they see me walking around with my oxygen. They just can't see the good life I am enjoying. I have a portabl
